Back to the Future Scene Recreated in Photoshop

This weekend I had the great pleasure of hanging out and photographing one of the best couples to ever be photographed by Jayson’s Photography. Now, when I met with Katie and Luke a few weeks ago to discuss their wedding, I showed them our Back to the Future Hallway in our studio, and they absolutely fell in love with it. After Luke had put on the Marty McFly vest or “Life Preserver”, they both showed an interest in doing a Back to the Future themed engagement session. This idea did not go through but that’s alright. I had a blast photographing this wonderful couple on their brunch themed engagement shoot. Now, I’m an artist first and a photographer second. So the artist in me wanted to create something magical for this special couple. Something that had to do with Back to the Future, even though Katie’s favorite movie is Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I know that they are both huge fans of Steven Spielberg and the Back to the Future trilogy. That is why during their engagement session I asked Luke to lift up Katie so I could snap this photo.

I had previously watched Back to the Future III and knew exactly which scene I was going to Photoshop them into.

Yesterday, I got to work on Katie and Luke’s Back to the Future Photoshop creation and 8 hours later I had created this.

As you can see everything was added later in Photoshop. I took a picture of my television during this train scene in Back to the Future III. I took a picture of my Hoverboard at the correct angle so I could place Luke on it. I even had to duplicate Luke’s right leg to create his left leg so he could stand on the Hoverboard more easily. I added all the smoke you see, even the heart smoke to bring even more love into this image. The colorful train smoke was added in and appears in the correct order it showed up in the movie. All and all this was a fun art piece I enjoyed creating for this wonderful couple. I will be posting more this week from this amazing engagement session with Katie and Luke.

If you’re looking for a photographer who’s also an artist and knows how to use Photoshop correctly, be sure to give me a call or send me a text at 413 537 9553. Facebook and e-mail jayson@jaysonsphotography.com also works. I Look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers!
